Lawrance Thompson papers, 1919-1970 (bulk 1938-1964)

Consists of selected papers of Thompson, including manuscripts for his books YOUNG LONGFELLOW, 1807-1843 (1938), SELECTED LETTERS OF ROBERT FROST (1964), which he edited, and ROBERT FROST, THE EARLY YEARS (1966); a small amount of correspondence, some of it with Robert Frost and Julius J. Lankes (1936-1970), from the time he was Princeton University Library's curator of rare books and manuscripts, as well as editor of its CHRONICLE; and miscellaneous articles, printed matter, and memorabilia.
